About the Photographer

Paula Willmot Kraus is a fine art photographer and educator residing in Dayton, Ohio. Her work focuses on a variety of subjects drawn mostly from her immediate surroundings, exploring the relationships between subject and lens. She outputs the images to one of several mediums in an effort to find the right “fit” for the images –silver, palladium, or ink-jet prints.

Paula has exhibited her work nationally including: The Dayton Art Institute, Dayton Visual Arts Center, Forte Wayne Museum of Fine Arts, Savanna College of Art & Design, Massillon Museum, Otterbein College, University of Eastern Washington, and over fifty additional locations.

She currently teaches photography at The Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology and is completing a master’s degree in photography at Antioch University McGregor. She has been the recipient of numerous awards including two artist’ fellowships from Montgomery County, one fellowship award from Ohio Arts Council, and numerous exhibition awards.
